[Position Overview]

The HR Manager will serve as a key member of MUSINSA Japan’s HR team. This role is responsible for executing core HR operations, supporting local talent acquisition, driving employee experience initiatives, and ensuring compliance with Japanese labor standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of operating in a fast-paced, multinational environment.


[Key Responsibilities]

  • Talent Acquisition 
  • Assist hiring managers and the HR Director with recruitment operations.
  • Handle postings, screening, scheduling, and candidate communication.
  • Support employer branding initiatives.
  • Training and Employee Engagement
  • Set up and implement training and development plan to support business operation and growth 
  • Design and facilitate onboarding and other training programs.
  • Initiate and manage internal communication and other engagement activities.
  • HR Operations:
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations including employee data management, contracts, attendance, and leave administration.
  • Coordinate payroll processes with external vendors and ensure accurate benefits administration.
  • Maintain and update HR policies in line with Japanese labor law.
  • Provide guidance on HR inquiries.
  • Performance & Development
  • Support performance evaluation cycles.
  • Coordinate learning and development programs.
  • Partner with managers on goal setting and feedback processes.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure HR operations comply with Japanese labor regulations.
  • Maintain employment documentation and support audits.
  • Escalate ER issues to the HR Director.
  • HR Data & Reporting
  • Manage HRIS data and generate regular HR reports.
  • Provide data insights for leadership decisions.


[Qualifications]

  • 8+ years of HR experience in Japan.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese labor law.
  • Experience in multinational or fast-growing companies.
  • Native Japanese
  • Strong operational and communication skills.


[Preferred]

  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, or fashion industries.
  • Experience with international companies a plus
  • Familiarity with HRIS tools.
  • Business level English or Korean
